How it all started...
The journey of this church started in the most unconventional yet miraculous way. The Bride started with a big empty building and no people. In late 2012 God gave Pastor Aaron Podgorski a vision for this building and for the ministry to be done in the surrounding community. Through a series of miraculous provisions and God moving in the hearts and minds of faithful people in the local area, the big empty building was purchased debt free and God brought a small group of people together and the real ministry began.
In June of 2016 our church building was struck by lightning, starting a fire which caused major damage to the entire building. We were then displaced for 8 months, but the Lord took care of us and provided a place to meet through the love of another church. However, we were not able to be back in the community the Lord originally placed us until once again He provided for us. We were able to purchase another facility only blocks away from where our old building burned.
God's faithfulness continued to guide our path. We were later blessed with the opportunity to move to our current home—a historic church building at 802 Indiana Avenue in La Porte. Built in 1890 as a First Baptist Church, this beautiful structure serves as a testament to God's providence and the enduring legacy of faith in our community.
Which brings us to our current position. We are back in the community to which the Lord called us with greater faith because of all that the Lord has brought us through. The greatest days of ministry for our church are still ahead! We are excited to see what God will do next!
